The right plan doesn’t drain your time or energy

I want to introduce you to a client I worked with a few years back...we'll call her Amy.


Amy was stretched soooo thin... raising 2 young kids, working nearly full-time during the day, trying to keep her busy household schdule straight (in her head and on paper...well, a giant white board calendar, actually), and THEN she decided to enroll in a master's degree program online.


Talk about ambition and focus.


But there was a hiccup in her plan…


She was so ridiculously busy that almost immediately after starting her sememester, any semblance of workouts-and-meal-prep routines slid completely off the radar. Like a lot of busy moms, she figured that once the first semester was over, she'd have the hang of things and she could get back into her habits over the winter break.

But long before that could happen, she woke up one morning and thought:

"This is completely unsustaianble and I'm never even going to MAKE IT to the break!"


She was running on fumes and too much caffeine, her body was was achy, she felt beyod tired most of the day, and the brain fog struggle was real.


She wasn't herself and didn’t even have the time (or energy) to make THE BIG CHANGES. Luckily, she didn’t need to!


Also luckily, we had already met and I was apparently needling her in the back of her mind because she reached out. Together, we were able to develop a relatively simple plan to get her on track in the small pockets of time she actually DID have. We immediately focused on the top 3 BEST, most results-getting things she could do, at that moment, that were right (and doable) FOR HER.


●     Short workouts 3–4 times a week (waking up only 15 minutes earlier and borrowing some of the time she was using to look at email before she really needed to)

●     Meal prep that took no extra time, REALLY. Honestly, she mostly just started doubling proteins when she cooked them, and added some frozen veggies and easier starches.

●     Sleep support routines that simplified her evenings and actually helped her wind down BEFORE lying in bed so she was staring at the back of her eyelids, not the ceiling.


Just a few weeks into it, she told me this: “I can’t believe how much more energy I have… and how much better my focus is.”
