Ever feel… for lack of a better word… BLAH?
You're not ill, you have zero injuries — you just feel kind of... swolen, or like you're moving through molasses, maybe your joints are a little achy or you have brain fog for no real reason.
It could be this combo that many people (including some coaches) don’t talk about enough:
STRESS + CHRONIC INFLAMMATION

Because of our hyper-modern world, our nervous systems can be continually on guard, and in turn your brain (and body) can get stuck in a constant stress mode.
Unfortunately, that in turn can throw some inflammation your way, which can then mess with everything from digestion and hormones to your capacity for recovery after stress or workouts... and even messes with food cravings and your moods.
Chronic, low-grade stress = chronic, low-grade inflammation.
This is why it’s so important to manage your stress before it gets the best of you.
That might come in the form of:
Taking 3 slow breaths before you eat to put your body into an effective “rest + digest” mode so you can actually absorb nutrients.
Getting some frsh air and sunshine multiple times per day.
Getting SOME movement each and every day.
Using this awesome and effective trick called the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique. which puts you back into the present in less than a minute, simply by naming:
5 things you can see
4 things you can touch
3 things you can hear
2 things you can smell
1 thing you can taste
Try now to see what you think! (But I think you're going to think it's retty cool!)
The reason it works is because it connects you to your senses and your surroundings.
This might all seem too simple, but the little things like this really do add up to regulate your system, and they might be just as important for inflammation as superfoods or supplements.
