Focus on what actually moves the needle

You may not realize it, but you've probably heard some variation of this "rule" ...and it’s probably also happening in your life without you even being totally aware of it.

Here it is: The Pareto Principle (sometimes also called the 80/20 Rule)—and it basically states that 80% of your results come from just 20% of your efforts.

And once you notice how true it is, you likely won't be the same:

✅ You choose 20% of your clothes 80% of the time.

✅ 80% of the time you spend on screens is probably on 20% of your apps.

✅ You spend 80% of your time with 20% of your people.

✅ 20% of artists create 80% of the music you hear.

So what does this have to do with your healthy habits?

Oh just... Everything!

If 80% of your habit results come from 20% of your efforts, the shortcut is to focus on what actually moves the needle—and let go of what isn't doing much for you right now.

For nutrition: Eat nutrient-dense, whole foods 80% of the time. Then you can relax and enjoy a treat meal or two the other 20% (without guilt).

For workouts: You don’t have to be in the gym for hours on end—or do every exercise you see everyone else doing that day. Prioritize compound movements (like squats, deadlifts, and presses) to give you the biggest return on investment for strength and mobility.

For stress & recovery: Ditch that time-consuming 10-step wellness routine—focus on quality sleep, daily movement, and a few minutes of mindfulness to handle 80% of your energy, focus, and resilience.

So, what’s in YOUR 20%?

If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, take a step back and answer these questions:

What’s the 20% that actually drives my results right now?

What’s taking up energy, but not making a noticeable impact?

When you get focused on the right habits, you can save time, lower stresses, and, top of the list...get EXPONENTIALLY better results with less effort.
