Energy is a lot like money.
You can spend it, save it, invest it—or waste it…
And most people don’t even know where it’s going!
So let’s play a game… Drain or Gain 🧐
❌ Scrolling social media: Drain.
❌ Skipping meals (or eating junk): You’ll pay for it later.
❌ Overloading your to-do list: Too much “withdrawal” without energy deposits.
❌ Running on caffeine instead of sleep: Short-term boost, inevitable crash.
Now compare that to…
✅ Moving your body: energy investment!
✅ Drinking enough water: Keeps energy “bank account” in balance.
✅ Getting outside in the morning: Nurtures circadian rhythm for natural energy.
✅ Eating protein with every meal: Prevent the blood sugar rollercoaster.
Most people feel drained not because they don’t have energy…
it's because they're spending it improperly.
Here’s how to take control when your energy balance is in the negative:

First, audit your energy like a bank account.
For one day, track where your energy is going.
What's draining? What feels energy producing?
Second, cut back on energy waste.
You wouldn’t waste money on things you don’t need—so why waste energy when you don't have to?
Third, double-down on high-return habits. Try:
● Swapping an afternoon coffee for a 10-minute walk outside.
● Starting your morning with 12 oz of water before caffeine.
● Building in short breaks during the day instead of pushing through overwhelm.
When you look at ways to spend your energy wisely, you’ll have more of it where you need it—without the extra caffeine, external motivation, or sheer willpower just to push through!
